The Robot Chicken Walking Dead Special: Look Who’s Walking is an animated zombie apocalypse special from Robot Chicken’s Seth Green and Matthew Senreich and their Stoopid Buddy Stoodios partners, John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, along with The Walking Dead (TWD) creator/executive producer Robert Kirkman and showrunner/executive producer Scott M. Gimple. The half-hour special will guest star original talent from TWD lending voices to their characters including Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, Steve Yeun, Sara Wayne Callies, and more. Chris Hardwick and Breckin Meyer will also be among the cast.

Robot Chicken’s Walking Dead Special is a lot of fun for anyone who is a big fan of both the Walking Dead show and of course, Robot Chicken. My biggest issue with these solo releases is always the running time for them. Don’t get me wrong, we got a nice mix of extras to help make-up for such a thing and I’m sure anyone who knows this show knows what they are getting into before purchasing, but still, the feature doesn’t even run 30 minutes. But, the price they are asking does seem fair for that. And that doesn’t mean we don’t have quality skits because we sure do. Everything from a wrap-around of Carl telling a nerd about all the happened to a musical number from Negan himself, this one is very much enjoyable and funny. We also cover everything from the start of the show to the season Negan first arrives, so every season gets at least some attention.

Making things even better is that the entire real cast of The Walking Dead has shown up to lend their voices to their characters here. So, when Negan sings a number, it’s really Jeffrey Dean Morgan. And when Rick talks to a flying unicorn it is really Andrew Lincoln. Steven Yeun is even here to voice the dearly departed Glenn in some really funny segments. All in all, it is a fun release for anyone who loves the show and I’ve always been a fan of Robot Chicken so I welcome new stuff no matter if its a new season, a DC special, a Star Wars special, or even this Walking Dead special. All is great and a whole lot of fun to me.
